Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by Rain Kissed Secret
"

Something I had to do for English class, but I've grown quite fond of it.

"
You see that bird
How she sits and waits
for her loved ones to be born.

Protecting them from harm,
Saving them from the dangers outside the nest.
She is like the key to their safety,
Their hearts are hers to harbor.

Growing up is hard enough
Without mothers looking over our shoulders
Making morals our actions
Watching if they sway
Into bad habits

Always there
Just to be left
She is a voice in the wind
Never to be heard again

You see here a story
Of a Mother and Child
Letting go of one another.
