Not Surprised.

Not Surprised.

A Poem by Sophia V

Tears from the sky

hit my face but it’s dry

No surprise no surprise

Where my feelings? In my eyes.

I wake up in disguise,

Stuck inside. Not alive.

I’m still breathing but in size, can’t stabilize

Not surprised.

Disorganized -- I’m so confused.

Internalize -- it’s what I do.

This is really nothing new.

Just passin' through

I’ll make do.

It's crazy,

Outta the blue. Me and you.

It’s screwed.

Navy blue.

I miss you.

And though we rise and recognize the necessary space,

I’d like to overemphasize that no one will take your place.

.....well, I'm not sure I'm aware of what your best could be, but if this is not, that's ok, you could make it so with a few minor musicality tweaks (especially in Stanza 4); putting "can't stabilize" on its own line ("me and you" too); and adding a "still" before "dry" in Stanza 1 (to further emphasize the point you're making with the line). Everything else is great, and its genuineness overpowers its cheesiness. Well done!
