Everything and Nothing

Everything and Nothing

A Poem by Soph

It’s a contradiction
morphing from a vast, limitless ocean into
a puddle
half-stolen by the sun.

A torturous,
ambivalent,
inescapable,
liminal space,
it resides in my skull,
undulating when
nothing remains to distract
from the
crashing of waves against
the cavernous walls of
bone.

I am filled and
emptied,
get washed ashore and
drowned,
feel everything and
nothing,
all at once.

I liked the spare delivery and economy of words in your poem. The description of your inner states is quite interesting; seems to represent mood swings of some type. If it persists, you might consider telling someone about it.
