Two Months and A Day

Two Months and A Day

A Poem by Kristen H
"

This was the first poem I ever wrote.

"

In the beginning, everything was fine.
Just your glance, grasp, or touching of the face
reminded me that you were only mine
because of your sweet and tender embrace.

I’d smile at the sight of your joy and glee,
your blue eyes gleaming and smile shining bright.
I never thought it was because of me
until you informed me that perfect night.

But now you’re cold as ice and act distant.
The gleam in your eyes has faded and died.
I only wish that I was sufficient
and that you’d put aside your foolish pride.

So now I will wait and be there for you.
I just wish there was something I could do.

I understand this poem. At the end of love and no place to go.
"So now I will wait and be there for you.
I just wish there was something I could do."
When the love is escaping. Hard to keep captured. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
