Christ was crucified as a human. He felt the pain and the agony of betrayal as a human being. And when someone undergoes that kind of suffering and offers such a selfless sacrifice, then immortality is a given.

Sacrifice. A meaningful piece of brevity here. They all paid a price to achieve immortality. My mind also wandered into other pastures and I thought of those who had fought and died for our freedom. They also paid a price. Intelligent writing Soren.

So right Chris. I too thought of many others, those that won horor, a Victoria Cross, Medal of honor but also those that died in ignominity but the poem became too long and unfocused. I appreciate your insightful read.
