Waking up (a mind scrub)

Waking up (a mind scrub)

A Poem by Soren

Sleeping till the crack of noon

Waking with the setting moon

I always get up too soon

On a bet I listened to the sun set

but I never yet saw it get

so hot that it was wet from sweat

When reclined, my mind's eye isn't blind

With the alarm declined let me the clock and thoughts unwind

Give me some time to find my mind

Absolutely love the rhyme scheme, almost reads with a hip-hop cadence... I used to work nights, it was no fun waking up to a setting sun every day... great piece!

Ahahaha, mustn't work too hard now. Take it easy, my friend.
Whatever you share with your 'followers' has a sense of purpose! This has it all, style, intelligence and - dear Soren, how brilliantly you use meter: here. amazingly witty

'On a bet I listened to the sun set
but I never yet saw it get
so hot that it was wet from sweat'

(Didn't take place in the cold, wet and windy UK!)
