A Razors Edge

A Razors Edge

A Poem by Sorry Sits Here

Newest song I'm writing on my guitar,

This is still a work in progress...

Verse 1

Can you see the signs,
They're everywhere - in everyone's make believe.
I don't want to be the one to tear apart your dreams -
That we wasted.
We're wasting away.

Pre-Chorus

Silent beauty;
It follows me,
It swallows me.
The sirens sing sad songs of cruelty,
There's a sign at the end of the road.

Chorus

Take a step
Back and let it go.
Stagnant sleep release these ghosts.
But I won't let
Their poison seep
Deep inside my soul, an emotional overflow
Of razor blades and pin pricks.
A bloody color of rust.

I love the imagery. I'd love to hear the music with it. If it were a song, I'd probably listen to it. I think I like the pre - chorus the best though(:

I think these are beautiful lyrics. I can imagine someone singing those words. Great song so far, keep it going. I would love to read it when its completely finished.
