CHAPTER 2' WE MEET AGAIN”

A Chapter by sospecial21

It seemed like fate, it just didn't seem real. How could this be the same boy, but it was. The only difference was the eyes. I was silent the entire class period. Though I could feel Noah looking into my direction, I figured he was probably looking at Wendy, who wouldn't stop staring at him. A boy so beautiful would never notice me in a million years. Yes he was definitely looking at Wendy.

He did not speak the whole class period. I wondered if he had that deep British accent he did in my dream. When the bell finally rang to end my torture, I quickly gathered my things to leave. Wendy nearly toppled over me to get near Noah. I watched him being engulfed by her and all the other girls. However he looked into my direction as if for me to save him for that fate. I quickly walked away.

I had to wait until lunch to speak to Shawna and Drew. The classes we shared weren't until after lunch. Finally it was time for lunch and I had gone through my last two classes with no sign of Noah. I needed to figure out what was happening. Shawna sat smiling at the lunch table with a very annoyed Drew at her left side.

When I walked up to the table I noticed Drew's expression change, he was smiling brightly at me. “Hey Em, I thought you would never get here. She won't shut up about the new kids.” He fake laughed.

Oh Emma did you see Noah or Olin? They are like angels from heaven.” She was in awe.

There is more than one of them?” I spat out almost surprised.

She shook her head at me. “ I told you this morning, there was four new students silly. You pay no attention to me at all, do you?” She laughed.

I took a deep breath and began with my experience in first period. They both laughed at Wendy's pathetic attempt for attention. “There is something else you guys. He's the guy, from my dream.” They both looked at me then at each other.

Yea he is the boy out of every girl's dream I”m sure.” Shawna looked at Drew and laughed.

I rolled my eyes at her and continued. “No seriously, he is the same exact boy in my dream. The only thing that is different is his eye color and of course his hair is shorter.”

Well maybe you just think he is.” Shawna just sat there twirling her blond hair around her finger. I just sighed in defeat.

Then I remembered what Shawna had said, there was four of them. “There are four of them?” I said out loud.

Shawna's face lit up with my question and she began to babble away. “Yes, I think they are related or something. There is Noah who you already know.”She winked at me when she said it. “Then there is Olin, who is, can you say a GOD?! Then there wa---”, but before she could finish four of the most flawless people you could ever imagine walked into the lunch room.

She didn't need to continue you, I could see them all with my own eyes.

There was a beautiful brunette in front of them. Her hair was short and so was her height. I was about 5'4, she was a good two inches smaller than me. She wore a black suit jacket that was fitted to her tiny frame with a white tee underneath with skinny dark blue jeans and high black boots. Her features were soft.

Behind her was a boy, tall like Noah, but he had ash blond hair. His features matched Noah's, strong and confident. He was built slimmer though. He was dressed in a leather jacket with tans khakis and black dress boots. His hair was wavy but nicely kept.

Following in suit of him was a platinum blond who had rosy cheeks and ruby red lips. Her eyes were a light amber color. She had on a red cowl neck sweater with a knee length denim skirt with red heels. She was breath taking.

Then finally was Noah. His hair was shorter and tousled in all directions. He wore a loose fitted gray sweater with dark blue jeans and dress boots.

They all shared one noticeable feature, they were all very pale. The brunette and Noah shared the same beautiful amethyst eyes, while both blond's had the amber color.

I hadn't even realized how long I had been examining them until Drew snapped his fingers in my face.

I jumped from the noise and he chuckled lightly.

Wasn't trying to scare you, you just were looking too creepy staring at them.” He pointed his eyes in Noah's direction.

Oh, I didn't even realize it.” I looked to the table where the four of them sat down. I could see people all over the lunch room staring at them. Almost has if they were celebrities. But the small group acted as if nothing was wrong or unusual about that.

For some reason, I couldn't look away. I knew Shawna and Drew were chatting to each other has I got lost again in my thoughts. That's when it happened, he was looking at me, staring me down, hard! I thought it might have been my imagination getting the best of me, but there was nobody behind me or around me. Both Drew and Shawna sat facing me .

However Noah's expression turned hard and cold. His stare almost lethal. I dropped my eyes at that point and looked away for the rest of lunch.

The day had gone by quickly after that. I was lucky enough to not have classes with the runaway models from New York City.

As I walked to my car after school I felt has if someone was staring at me. I turned after putting my backpack in my car to the direction of the front of the school parking lot. There was a midnight blue colored BMW.

It was the nicest and most expensive car in the lot. I noticed Noah leaning on it. He gave me a piercing stare that gave me chills. His face was like a statue as he looked at me. It looked almost like hate. I shook it off and got into my car and went home.

It had been almost 2 weeks since Noah and the others had moved into Deforest. I hadn't had the dream since.

I watched everyday in Psychology at Wendy's pitiful attempts to get Noah's attention. When I finally got to hear his mouth watering voice for the first time, it was not like in the dream. His voice was smooth like silk and very deep. Very alluring, just like everything else about him. But no sign of an accent. He sounded American.

I had made no attempt to speak to him, nor did he to me. The staring was starting to piss me off though. It was a hateful glare he would give me, that I was certain. I felt has if, without knowing, I had done something to this perfect man. But it was him who spoke first.

Excuse me?” He said in a soft voice. At first I didn't think he was speaking to me. Why would a man so gorgeous speak to me? “Excuse me Emma?” He sounded soft but uncertain this time.

He said my name! Oh how delicious it sounded rolling off his tongue. I perked my head up toward him staring.

Would it be alright if I followed along with you for this chapter? I seem to be missing a few pages.” He smiled beautifully at me. Oh what a smile, my heart was breaking just looking at it. He pointed to his book and you could see how the pages skipped from 100 to 250.

I nodded my head in agreement and he scooted closer to my desk. I laid the book to where it was overlapping the top of mine and his desk. “You can share with me” Wendy said batting her eye lashes at him. He smiled sweetly at her.

Thank you Wendy, but Emma is right next to me, its easier to follow with her”. What a gentlemen I thought.

She pouted and her face frowned as she turned back around. Pathetic.

He looked back at me with a gracious smile and I watched his eyes follow the words on the page. He wasn't uncomfortably close, but close enough that I could smell him. He smelt divine. Like fresh rain in the forest and chamomile. It was a soothing scent. I felt myself relax from it.

It's really quiet around here or is that my imagination?” He said chuckling. I looked up from my book and smiled at him.

Yes it is. I'm sure you miss New York a lot. All the noise and being able to do so many different things.” I tried to sound polite.

He continued to chuckle. “Actually, I kind of like the quiet. It's very comforting. Plus I found some interesting ways to spend my time.”

I imagined how he spent time away from school. I bet he had a date every other night. I wondered what it would be like to date him. I wanted to reach up and touch his hair. Smooth out his face. Then I pictured the dream and the scene on the balcony where we almost kiss. How I wanted to feel his lips, the desire that it drove through me.

Then the bell rang and I was cut out of my fantasy far too quickly. I heard Wendy squeal and jump from her seat over to Noah's side. But he was still in the same position, hovering over my book. I hadn't even noticed he was looking dead on at me. His expression breathtaking. He looked like he was hypnotized or trying to hypnotize me.

Noah, lets go, I want you to walk me to my next class.” Wendy's voice was squeaky and obnoxious like a five year old.

But he acted has if he didn't even hear her. He never took his gaze from me. Then he shook his head. As if he was lost in a trance. Before getting up to put his chair back he spoke softly to me.

I keep wondering how that ends too.” Then he walked out of the room with Wendy in tow.

I spent the rest of the day wondering what he was referring to. Maybe the chapter? It was about the unconscious mind. I remembered how Mr. Anderson described it.

The unconscious mind might be defined as that part of the mind which gives rise to a collection of mental phenomena that manifest in a person's mind but which the person is not aware of at the time of their occurrence. These phenomena include unconscious feelings, unconscious or automatic skills, unnoticed perceptions, unconscious thoughts, unconscious habits and automatic reactions, complexes hidden phobias and concealed desires.

The unconscious mind can be seen as the source of night dreams and automatic thoughts (those that appear without apparent cause). It can be seen as the repository of memories that have been forgotten but that may nevertheless be accessible to consciousness at some later time.

Did he know something he wasn't telling me?

When lunch time came I was in a daze. Noah's words circled my thoughts over and over. I sat in my usual place as I saw Noah walk in. He sat at his table with the “beautiful ones”.

They had names now. The brunette girl was Ava and the blond boy was Olin. Olin was Ava's boyfriend. Unity was the blond girl. She was Noah's older sister. Apparently Ava was their cousin.

I got to lunch before Drew and Shawna. As they came to the table I looked up at Drew's face. He had this ridiculous smile a crossed it as he sat down across from me. “How is your day going Em?” He smiled innocently while looking at his tray of food.

My day is okay, you know high school.”I smiled politely at him. “Just really want to go home.”

Yea me too.” He smiled in agreement.

Can you believe how pathetic Wendy Lewis is? She follows Noah around like a little puppy.” I rolled my eyes at Shawna while she took her seat.. I'm sure Noah likes the attention Wendy gave him because from what I saw, he never told her to back off. “He is clearly not interested in her, but she can't take a hint.” Shawna said coyly.

Her statement kind of took me back. Of course Noah was interested. All the boys Wendy pursued were interested in her. She was clearly very pretty, but no comparison to the looks of the Valiente girls.

It seems like he likes her a lot to me. He walks her to her 2nd period class everyday.” I said flatly.

Shawna began to giggle uncontrollably. “Obviously you never seen that for yourself. I see him leave your 1st period class basically running away from her. Especially today. I even felt awkward for her.”

Can we talk about something else beside the new kid or Wendy. Its getting kind of boring and old.” Drew sounded agitated.

Me and Shawna both shook our heads in agreement.

The rest of the day went by slowly. Finally the bell rung to release us from high school hell. Walking out the front doors it had begun to rain heavily. As I tried to pull my hood over my head a group of freshman came running past me and knocked me off balance making me slip on the concrete stairs.

I could feel myself falling backwards awaiting to land hard on the ground, but someone grabbed a hold of me before that was possible. I turned to face my rescuer, it was Noah. He had gripped both my arms in his hands with no effort at all and steadied me to my feet.

We stared into each others eyes for what seemed like minutes smiling stupidly. I finally got my voice to speak, only to have it come out like a squeak. “Umm thank you.”

His smile grew and I was in awe once again. “You're welcome.” With his silky smooth voice.

I could hear voices behind us and people began to gather to see what had happened. I heard Shawna bust through the crowd. “Nothing to see folks, keep it moving.” She walked up to me giving me a goofy smile.

Noah bowed his head slightly and walked away ending our special moment. “Are you okay? What happened?” Shawna said while rubbing my head. I pushed her hand away feeling dizzy. I just stared in the direction Noah's car was parked in only to grab a glimpse of his tortured expression. He looked as though he was in pain and he got into his car with the others and drove off.
