Heavy fog

Heavy fog

A Poem by AmandaLynn

In a heavy fog I'm lost,
I feel so confused,
I look around me for closure,
But all I see is you,

You're at my side now,
You're holding my hand,
The color in your face disappears,
I don't understand.

In a heavy fog I stumble,
I look to you to pick me up,
But you're fading now,
You turn to dust.

You're gone now,
The fog is all that I see,
It's almost suffocating,
Through the haze, I try to breathe.

In a heavy fog I tremble,
You've left me here alone,
I'm so far away,
I want to go home.

I should have never let you touch me,
Now I'm covered in your hate,
I should have never let you in,
Now I'm trapped, and you're in the way,

In a heavy fog I'm alone,
A voice is taunting me,
"I told you it's a choice"
I cover my ears, and I scream,

I should have never let you in,
I should have let my defenses reside,
I know now it was a mistake,
Nothing but a lie.
