Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by Emmy J.M. Powell

everyone around me
says to come to my senses

I know it is pathetic
to not have a dream

"once you start university,
you'll know"
they tell me

the water is warm,
they tell me

but when I submerge myself
it will be cold

just like that,
the world tosses me away

afraid to ghost a breath,
I will not get up again

I know it is pathetic
to not have a dream

Is it really?

No judgment , Judgment kills and hurt

Thank you for your words
