Concentration Camp...

Concentration Camp...

A Poem by Spagbella
"

A heartbreaking poem about a true reality...

"
The trains large, metal mouth roared like a furious lion,
Bringing more and more innocent citizens everyday...
But never taking anyone the other way.
The taste of anxiety lingered in my mouth,
Scolding my tongue like flaming fire,
Jews herded together like cattle being slaughtered,
Frozen. Starved. Depressed.
The bitter stench of burning bodies stained the air,
As spirits escaped from the dark, dim prison,
The choking smoke was a fiery dragon,
Searching through the acrid atmosphere,
The gas chambers spluttered and coughed,
As the doors banged shut, locked and bolted.
The showers were slowly turned on...
Silence.

Stark reality. A poetic account of something truly demonic. We need to learn from history...but evil still exists in this world. A good write. ~ Robert.

As for the subject matter...genocide and the events of the fact...this adds a reminder...I read another like this a while back...I can not at the moment... remember the title...I read too many here at WritersCafe...but you bring light to those whose faith had gone...the one way ticket to a hell on Earth for those victims of the war at that time...

A great tribute to the holocaust and the victims. A dark chapter in human history...:)

Such a horrifying ordeal, you've given it a poetic voice here. Cohen's music comes to mind here, Dance Me to the End of Love, I just recently discovered it was about this exact topic. Emotive piece of reading here, outstanding job.

You have an excellent style and a talent for description. You've chosen a difficult topic to discuss and showed the horror of it all...The showers were slowly turned on...Silence. Great writing.

your welcome :)
This is a great write.
Presents a vivid picture of what happened in holocaust.
You have painted the tragic events like a famous painter.

But,the inhuman acts have not yet stopped.
People are being killed everywhere like holocaust.
The merciless game must be stopped now.
