Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by spayne94

Drowning in my own sorrows
I see the roses dying there thorns equal my emotion

Prickling my innards
Thorn by sharp thorn
Digging at me
Telling me I’m no longer a survivor
But dying inside and soon on the outside

I listen to their whimsical tones
My emotion echoes them
I feel for them
There loneliness booms in my skull

I am soon to be one of them
