The lonely road

The lonely road

A Poem by spayne94

This road is a lonely one,

One full of daggers and knives,

Pulling you at every step,

Towards your end,

Breaking you in every way,

Highlighting the black,

Pulling closer to the end,

This road doesn’t give up,

It pulls and pulls,

Until you realise,

You’re worth no more,

Than this lonely road,

So you sit solemn and afraid.

Thank you so much!
Yet another remarkable poem! If you were to type the poem up in a different way that made the reader read it more slowly it would be even better. Also, nice ending line!

Thank you, I may do another attempt to make this flow slower and make the poem lengthier.

The symbolism of the road as life's journey works well here. Welcome to the site. I look forward to reading more of your work.
