Sailing BoatsA Poem by VincentBased on the painting of the same name by Feininger.I stand on the edge of the water foam seeping through my toes, sand sticking to my feet. My reflection is blurred. The harsh cold wind that stings my face also pushes the boats through the sea. The wind pulls my hair from my head, Along with my soul. I push my feet further into the beach, trying to anchor myself. As particles of sand float into the air I close my eyes And when I open them The boats are gone. © 2013 Vincent |
