My God...

My God...

A Poem by spence

My God…

…Is the earth at your feet and the sun in the sky

The wind on your face and the turn of the tides

My God does not despise you nor deny you your desires.

You are neither travesty nor tragedy in Nature’s loving eyes.

You are but a child crucified by men of golden cloth

Who claim to know the wrath of a God that never truly was,

And state He imparts knowledge divine to them from on high

To guide your precious life through fear of destination when you die

But my God does has no need to hide and spy

Upon your every deed and thought and act

My God’s not real at all

In fact

All creators were created by would be despots and dictators

The tyrants who use war and violence to maintain a world of hatred

God is the fabrication of those who would deceive us,

Control console, demean us as we beg Lord's to receive us

When it is they who are the demons.

Although there is not a heaven or hell beyond that in which you choose to dwell.

The choice is yours- ‘tis not defined, by fate nor hate nor love nor life or death besides.

Walk free from this open cell in which the God of mighty men has told you

You must dwell.

My God decrees;

“There is no prison stronger than an open room that you believe you cannot leave

There is no grieving longer than to bereave the martyr deeds of those you're told you must revere”

So do not despair tomorrow

For the path of life is yours alone to follow
