Plato's Cave

Plato's Cave

A Poem by spence
"

Don't be afraid of the light!

"

Plato’s cave from the cradle to the grave

Learn your place as the schools indoctrinate

Taught to play- competing is the game

Then you join the race and seasoned rats dictate the pace

Toward the fat cat’s plate for crumbs that tumble is your fate

It’s the working wage that makes you think you’re not a slave

But only products craved inform decisions that you make

When you’re old and frail- you might realise it was fake

But guess what mate?

By then it’s far too late!

Plato’s cave from the cradle to the grave!
