purple hyacinth

purple hyacinth

A Poem by anja

~

"
plead, speak to me into the night
between the lines
please tell me the things I fear
will come morning light

of all the monsters under my bed
you scarred the most,
like thornless rose brought me
bouquet of buttercup and baby's breath,
withered into asphodel and harebell

like smashed glass
I see you in the mirror
bleeding tears of sorrow
from the tears in my skin
are birthed screeches of whispers
whispered into me

you are a black rose in the night, my blood,
In removing you I found
I cannot go on without you
