Jar of Tears

Jar of Tears

A Poem by Chelsea

Jar full of tears

The sounds of tears dropping down my face

is the sweet lullaby that drifts me off to sleep

For tears, have no care

They will seep whenever

Leaving you bare

They will haunt you until you confront them

But only if you dare

I collect not one but two

Jars of tears every night

With hell in plain sight

For I cannot confront my tears

I hide behind a buffer

So, no one can see my tears

No one can see me suffer

But one day I will break free

I promise you,

I will run with glee

But until that day, I wipe my tears clean

My face will stay full of sorrow

Full of pain

I will forever have

A tearstain

See here is a good example of a well thought idea first the facts of this life Then the telling of the cost. After that the conclusion of the actions taken all good work leaves the last quatrain to give us a lesson in life

I love the way you allow the reader to follow your path in this poem, and to share the deeply emotional experience of the words.....I really enjoyed this piece...you could actually be my sister in poetry! It rings many bells with my style of poetry...and I love some of your lines here....:
"I collect not one but two jars of tears every night"....my favourite line...thanks for sharing....

Your poem on tears is way better than mine. I slightly feel ashamed for writing it after reading yours. Not like jump of a building shame, but burning toast shame. Nice job thou.

And this would make a great song if you ever consider writing music.

The poem is really deep and has a lot of creativity in it. I like :) The words express your emotions clearly, it's like I can almost see your sadness throughout and your hope at the end. The only suggestion I have is that the end feels a little bit weak and like the poem isn't finished. Maybe end with a jar of tears rather than a tear stain.
Good job on this :)

This is a good poem in the fact that it shows how we feel when we want to cry, we don't want people to see us cry and we want the feeling to be gone, but sometimes it stays longer than we hoped. Lovely poem, really good :)

We must let out those emotional releases before we can move forward with a clean slate. Crying is a great way to do that. I think we can all relate to this.
