This is Life.

This is Life.

A Poem by Kristin

This
is life.
My hands keep trembling.
I can't feel them
but this
is life.
Everyone's laughing
at me.
I can feel it.
I want to die.
But this
is life.
I may not have asked for it
but this is life.
I need to cherish it
I don't feel quite alive
but this
is life.
I don't matter
but this is life.
So at least pretend you're happy
think about all the
things
they've told me
happiness is.
Put the gun down and remember
This
Is
Life.

The pleas of life making it just barely past the anxiety, past the realization and regrets that you're wasting life when you aren't, past the faked smiles. You always have quite a lovely concept whenever you write poems. Well done.
