Rush

A Story by Kristin

I dont want to die I want to feel death creep Up on me. Just like the tension between two lovers’ First kiss. I dont want to die. I just like to feel the tides On my feet Letting me know At any time I can go out to sea. I dont want to die. I dont want to die. I just f*****g crave it I dont know how much longer I can deny Lifes biggest pleasure.

I recommend the final scene in the movie, "Judge Dredd" (or maybe just "Dredd"). It's got your "slomo" down in cinematographic excellence. Just before the final six feet is where you get to think that last line:

- "I dont know how much longer I can deny Lifes biggest pleasure."

Enjoy.

The analogies portrayed here to symbolize your craving for death are carefully thought out, I adored them. You wish to die, but you want to feel the slowness of it all . . . To savor the moment before non-existence. You express yourself well, Kristin. Keep it up.

that's a strong poem, it definitely has a punch to it. I like the line 'I just like to feel the tides on my feet'. I must say, apart from the fact that is a strong and deep poem, I hope that this episode, is just a mere episode. Guess we've all been there, stuck in that phase.
