Coronary System

A Poem by Kristin

You are so many things
but 100% nicotine.
I used to need
The stinging,sweet taste
Of tobacco to take
My highs
And my lows
And burn relief into my
Blood
,but
Smoke hasn't filled my lungs
For over a month
And your lips
Were the last thing
I tasted.
They provide my relief
And every time
I reminisce memories
With my lighter;
I think about making
new ones
with you.

Love as a substitute for the sweet burn of a cigarette upon your lips . . . Seems rather fulfilling, but what happens if no love is left to touch sweetly upon your lips? Well done, Kristin.
