Save me

Save me

A Poem by Starbound25

needing someone to save me

I want to taste redemption when you kiss me

I can see salvation in your eyes

Your touch frees that piece of my soul

Still tangled in damnation

An abundant gift your love wants to give me

I want you to whisper my future to me

I want to know in your arms everything will be alright

My burden is so heavy

My headache is so strong

I want to trust you to lighten my load

To carry me when I need you to

To comfort me when no one else can

I stand with one foot dangling over the edge

Pull me back

Save me

Just save me

"I want to trust you to lighten my load" That is quite a pondering thing to do. Learning to trust. I like this. Your last four lines amazing. That is where we need the trust right there. Knowing someone may be there for you to catch you.

Great work, really gets the message out there. I love the sense you instill that longs for freedom.

To save; “to rescue somebody or something from harm or danger”
Flowed exceptionally well, tense and malleable...nicely done...

I really enjoyed this poem leaves some room for hope.
Feelings are sad but they are very well expressed.
