A friend

A Poem by Leah Ann Chason
"

this poem was wrote to help me see through the rough time of losing someone close

"

A friend

joyus laughter

heart of gold

you grew tired

but never grew old

you were there when I needed you

there as a friend

there as a teacher

you were always there to mend

anyone around you

could have told you this

you made everyones day bright

you made our hearts light

I would say goodbye

but whats the use

this is not the end

this is where other things begin

we will miss you here

but your not gone

in our hearts you will live on

until we meet you

on the other side

know this your our pride

until then

I liked how this was written like a letter, that was very cool. In some places the rhyme sounded a little forced, however, maybe you should just get rid of it? That might work better with the format, anyway. Well, just a suggestion! Good job with this! :)
