The Remarkable Work Of Commercial Director Didier Beringuer

The great commercial director, Didier Beringuer has just finished filming the feature-length documentary “VIF” on the famed French fashion designer Christian Audigier. It documents his life through interviews with other famous celebrities such as Michael Madson, Charles Aznavour, Sylvester Stallone, Stephen Dorff, Johnny Halliday, Daymon Johns and Snoop Dog, among others.

 

Christian Audigier passed away halfway through the filming of the documentary as he was suffering from a very aggressive cancer. The film shows what a fighter he was and what he had to do to achieve the American dream and success in the fashion industry. Once Christian knew his cancer was terminal, even though he was always a fighter and overcame almost all obstacles put in front of him, he accepted his fate. Christian Audigier was best known for his Von Dutch and Ed Hardy clothing lines. He was only 57 when he died.

 

Beringuer is an accomplished director who is one of the most sought after commercial directors in the Western hemisphere. He just wrapped up a commercial campaign for Buchanan’s Whiskey, which came out beautifully and successfully. He also worked on a Cochonou (foods) TV spot, and is developing a film to be shot in 2017, called Brilliant Silence, which he co-wrote and will be directing it.

 

Didier is obviously a director who can deliver beautiful images with a believable story line and he can do this all on schedule and within budget. He is well aware of the producing side, which is usually concerned with schedule and budgetary concerns because he also has a great deal of experience as a producer. He has produced 26 episodes of the French TV show Hollywood Girls, which was shot in Los Angeles. He also produced 12 episodes of Paikese Poole, which was filmed in Estonia, France and Finland. He’s produced several other series and reality TV shows, along with short films and features.

 

His salient talent, however, is creating all the exquisite shots that make up the whole movie or show. Each shot, whether it is stationary or in motion moves the story forward with beautiful and well thought out images within the camera’s rectangular lens frame. When he connects them all then the actors, the background and the story become one cohesive movie for the audience to enjoy.
