Today

Today

A Poem by Julie Murphy, Julie Desin & Julie Stoddard
"

This might once have been called "Lost"... the entry in my journal says "Today" so for now I leave it at that.

"

Today I stand at the edge of a dream
Living less than existing
Holding at the precipice of nothingness
And wondering if the dawn will come.

I am lost.

Floating on an endless sea
Directionless and alone
Hoping someone might see me
And help me to the shore

I am lost.

The bottomless ocean of emotion
Calls to me and I hear
Screaming to be embraced
Searching for a soul known to me

I am lost.

Wind blows through tall trees
Whispering a name that might be mine
And on the edge of the dream
I await the truth.

interesting train of thought expressed in poetic prose. We are all lost seeking for ourselves by finding someone to validate our existence.Fortunately most of us do
