Grandma's Rocking Chair

Grandma's Rocking Chair

A Poem by Stephanie M
"

This is a poem about a ghostly rocking chair.

"

Grandma's Rocking chair

swayed to an invisible breeze

It's soft creak wept forlorn

tears

Gently sobbing and laughing

as she slowly lost her mind

Lost in the pain of her

memories

Alone in her darkened room

She reaches out to the

emptiness

Stephanie M
When my aunt took possession of my great-grandmother's rocking chair, after she passed away, she claimed that it would move by itself!
