Oblivion

Just laying here, slowly falling asleep
drifting away
from consciousness, cares, worries
from life.

The world is a dark shadow across my mind
A shadow i must confront
but sweet oblivion beckons me
seductive

Pushing away from surrender
trying to come away
but the bed is warm
and sleep is dreamless.
