Nature's SerenadeA Poem by Stephanie JoTime
ticks by slowly in the meadow undetectable by the outside world the
ever-changing clouds tracking the hours, minutes, and seconds that go by
unknowingly Where
the just noticeable soft touch of the dew-covered grass tickles bare feet and the
noon sun’s tantalizing rays kiss the flower petals. Light
breezes flow across the vibrant array of wildflowers cause them to sway as
if dancing to the hushed melody of a childhood lullaby. The
dull golden sun lazily sets on a once vivid and clear blue horizon now
a backdrop of pink and purple hues The
crisp white moon overtakes the fading skylight beckoning
awake the twinkling stars that now inhabit the night sky © 2013 Stephanie JoAuthor's Note
