Today

          I used to quiver in your presence,

          But today, I stood up for myself.

          I used to doubt my existence,

          But today, I believed in myself.

          I used to silence my screams,

          But today, I cared about myself.

          I used to cry to sleep,

          But today, I smile to myself.

          I used to bow down,

          But today, I fly all by myself.

          I used to hide,

          But today, I loved all of myself.
