Venom

Venom

A Poem by STOLENSUN
"

Sin of the flesh

"

Blinding and bursting desires

Pervading throughout my veins

Nigh her succession to reign

Grotesque in all of her names

Her beauty forever beseeching

A blight from a phantasm heart

Creep steep from immoral vocations

Unerring in choice to embark

Venom is strung in the winepress

Gorge not from the goblet too wide

For venom, this venom so deadly

This venom, from venom to bride.

I adore this.
The tones you've set really bring a passion to what the poem has to say. It's as if the reader could literally feel the same venom dripping off the words as their eyes scan over them. Almost like they'll get infected by it too.
Wonderful job, I'll have to remember to read more of your works.
