Pain Drowns In Tears Of Hope

Pain Drowns In Tears Of Hope

A Poem by KAREN

Her pain drowns in tears of hope,

while images of his face

dance between freedom and loneliness.

Pictorial poetry memories

rest inside her abandon mind,

and her heart summons her inner

strength to swim in her

tears of hope.

She resides in tranquility to get

ready for the self-examination of what

she did wrong.

Despair lengthens as the windless night

hums a monotonous tone of what once was.

Illusions pray for the songs of her soul

as she struggles to stay above

tears of hope.

A lullaby of his voice keeps her afloat

as calm and peace waver around

her waist as a life preserver.

Vunerability threatens to sink her

into the depths of her own

tears of hope.

She breathes in colors of dreams,

and that somewhere in time

he will return and rescue her before she drowns in

tears of hope.

Love can either sink us to the depths of hell or raise us toward heaven depending on who we love. Great write.
