Passion

She's always falling in and out of love

Determined not to ever give up

She wonders over and over

If there will ever be anyone

Who doesn't love her

And then runs hurriedly away

So afraid of how intense they feel

Never feeling this kind of passion

She knows her passion is so beautiful

And they know it too

But she can't convince anyone to stay

They think they have too much to lose

She's always falling in and out of love

Determined never to give up

So she sits alone on a Friday night

Wondering why she just doesn't feel right

Her last relationship left her broken

She took the time she needed to heal

But now she wonders if time is just standing still

She starts thinking of everything she misses

Eyes that stare into your soul

Love peering through it

The way their hand touches your cheek

With a fondness so true

Arms that hold you

Whenever you need to cry

A chest that consumes you

As you lean into it and disappear

As he holds you so firmly and tenderly

Promising to always be there

She's always falling in and out of love

Determined never to give up

Forever chasing this feeling

That you don't have to face

The challenges of life

Without someone there by your side
