Stroke of Genius

I seriously am mentally aroused. :D

 

It’s completely amazing,

This intoxicating

Mental feeling

Of the cogs in my brain

Spinning and turning.

Shall I paint a masterpiece?

Or maybe compose a ballet.

What the hell,

I’ll choreograph it as well.

What if I take it upon myself

To try to find a cure for cancer?

Even a way to end world hunger?

Oh what, dear God what

Should I do with my burst of ingenuity?

Ah yes! I know!

I will draw up a political plan

To pull America back onto its feet.

Mayhap I shall diminish the crime rate

By ninety percent!

Or what if I start a business?

I can become a CEO

And make millions in minutes to blow away.

Might I make an attempt

To design a new engine,

One that puts even Galt’s to the test?

Hmmm. Maybe I can even

Map out the stars…

The stars!! I remember! This is brilliant Sir Stussy, I think that you should aspire for it all, I know you can do it, haha, this is well evident. In all you do, I would that you'd never forsake poetry, for in it you share who you are with the rest of us who want to find out.
this is a great poem, Made me want to go out and make/build something....or return to my blueprints for my munitions cache in Ghana. World Dictator must start somewheres, yes? haha, great work, awesome one!

Or maybe you could change the font size and perhaps color so us old b******s can read it better. :) I did make it through though. Use that burst of ingenuity for the best. Kudos.

I know the feeling you describe here all too well. The itch under your skin to DO something, anything, just as long as it will change the world.
Fantastic poem.

One thing though, maybe change the font, because it makes it a little hard to read.
