Next to the card dealer, a stranger sat next to him, he glimpsed and her eyes sparkled, he knew it could be heaven or it could be hell, yet he went on, she pulled a silver dagger and stuck its pointy edge in the table and called her bet, desperate and crazy as he has always been yet more daring, he checked his empty wallet, yet he opened up his chest, put his heart on the table and went all in, and the cards were dealt, he rushed to open his cards, he had the aces of hearts and the queen of spades, the bets were already raised, tick tock flip and toss, the card dealer as serious as an ancient rock announced the game, for the dealer the game is another game with strangers that come and go, for her it was a stranger with his heart on the table, what a confusing place she found herself in, her friends came along saw what was on the table, freaked out, freaked her out, her butterflies turned into spikes and her pills took over, beers came and left his stream, words came out, spotlights flashed in his face, people came and went pushing through his chair, he opened his eyes but he couldn't see, and suddenly his cards were lost in the rubble, the card dealer smirked, the crowds left, it was just a game of two now, what was left of the queen of spades was never to be found, he had no cards left to play, he opened his empty wallet payed his tab with whats left of his stream, he looked in her face and in the depth of her eyes, he couldn't find the sparkle, as if it was all in his head, so he knew its now a game of two but against each other, he laid down his judgement, He shouted "I'm not your opponent. your words will be a divine deliverance of fate", she opened her lips and words came out, "everyone is a loser here", he paused, time stood heavily and still, the hole in his chest suddenly numbed, as if pain was still there but distant and unheard, he knew by then that a loser dragged him into her game and that loser wanted him to share her loss instead of her sharing his wins, he smiled numb, payed his vows, and walked out leaving what was left as a gesture of good will and ill luck.
