Alone

Alone

A Poem by Sue
"

I am more used to it now but at one time I didn't like being on my own...

"

Alone, quiet fills the room

Silence not a sound can be heard

Alone, sitting, casting shadows

Ideas become absurd

On my own, heart beats softly

No one, all have gone from here

Listening, worrying unduly

Doubts become like fears

Lonely, no crowding surrounds

Slowly breathing, air seems so dry

Cold feelings abound

I wonder why

Suddenly light floods the room

Friends fill the place with noise

No more sitting solely

With shades my only toys
