I Saw Elvis

I Saw Elvis

A Poem by Sue
"

My comment on the phenomenon of Elvis spotting.....

"

I saw Elvis the other day

Said the man in red

In Tesco’s at the meat counter

I’m sure it was him

Ah, said the friend

But did he have his guitar with him

No, said the other

But he bought a leg of lamb as I recall

It’s amazing who you see there these days

Sighed the friend

And somewhere a Memphis man

Had the last laugh

(For Elvis fans everywhere)
