once, tonight, forever

once, tonight, forever

A Poem by Hermione

You drive me weary
cause I'm waiting
for your change of heart
to go out with a bang
and bloody my hands
you speak so sweetly
(but I feel like
you're cracking me open)
to expose and draw out my insides
I don't belong to you
anymore, no more to forever
But I'm starting to speak your language
soon I'll be fluent in your mindset
My voice box is disintegrating
under the weight
of no more apologies
but I can't stay awake
you make my eyes heavy
It's a struggle to stay alive
and I just want to sleep
just once,tonight, forever
My limbs are growing heavy
and my mind is glass
I'm waiting, I'm worried that
this too shall pass.
