That Was You

That Was You

A Poem by stars are far

It was never the way he smiled

Or even tried to secure his pride.

It was never because of a glance

Or even a first or second chance.

It was more like a heart beat

That made him fall down on the street.

Saying my love concurred your veins

And you want us to be together with no strains .

You followed my leads everywhere I went

Until you let me settle you in my heart with no rent.

I loved you with a love that made me bent

But then my back had broken and I was dead.

That was you who made me believe in love

It was you who made trust this life.

That was you ,and it is very true

Harmonies of the spring called the names of me and you.

But now, as spring came and blossoms bloom you found her

You followed her way on the ground an up to the stair.

It was over between you and I

But you will always be the best part of the soul of my .

It is difficult to see someone we love move on in a new relationship. You have a kind, loving heart to say goodbye with so much class and charm. Another beautiful poem from your pen.
