Your Eyes Are an Ocean

A poem I recently wrote!

Your eyes are an ocean,

They are like a special magic potion.

They beckon you in and pull you close,

And make you believe that they are what you want most.

But then they crush you and pull you under,

And then you realize that this was a major blunder.

 

You try to gasp for air,

But they are holding you fast in their snare.

The waves rush over you, once after the other,

And you realize that you are being smothered.

You sink down, down below,

To a place where there is nothing, not even snow.

 

If you manage to fight against it,

And you begin to spit,

Out the water,

You  look into her innocent eyes,

And they whisper their lies,

and pull you under,

Once again.
