True Story

True Story

A Poem by Summer Grace

We are all stories in the end
When we are names on
Stone in eventuality, buried in
In a misty cemetery

Life goes so fast it’s
All memory, one moment
Vanishing as the next
Comes by all we have

Is a memory later becoming
A story, or maybe a fantasy
Searching for our own
Truth until the twilight comes

You’re just a story
A fantasy, a memory,
Somebody else’s reality
The minute after you’ve gone
Just a true story
