Summer Cemetery Girl

Summer Cemetery Girl

A Poem by Summer Grace

Summer cemetery girls
In summer cemeteries
So far from the real
World and it's tragedies

Smiling in the summer
Cemetery, among the
Green grass and the
White statues, the

Stone angels, the old
Photographs, faded
Faces from another
Time, amid the mysteries

Of the dead, the summer
Cemetery girl wanders
And ponders all the
Mysteries of those

Dead and gone of whom
Just names and dates
Linger on, long after
They have gone

And all their former
Lives have fled to be
Mysteries under the
Summer grass, as

The decades pass
The summer cemetery
Girl wanders in the
Quiet amid the strange
Beauty of the dead-
