Twisted Twin Flame

Twisted Twin Flame

A Poem by elle
"

"Would you rather heartbreak, or not feel a thing?"- Wale Folarin

"
Sometimes I wonder if you wake up in the middle of the night
And my face crosses your mind before you can bat your eyes a few times
And you smile at the times we shared
Because somehow I'm buried in your subconscious, too.

I wonder if you know the pain you caused me
When you left with no explanation
And how I made up 100 scenarios in my mind on what went wrong
But ultimately I find comfort in knowing its just because you didn't want the commitment that I did.

I wonder if you know how I tried to tell myself that you never cared
To justify how things ended ultimately
But deep down I know I was lying to myself
This is just how our story was written long before we ever began..

I was just a casualty of the pain you've been enduring
Long before we ever became intimate
And now your pain has projected
And become that of mine.

...And I'll never tell you, but I miss you and what we had.
