Happily Never After... Prose 5

Dave and I were best friends. But he never understood my likings. Whenever I told him about something he stated how boring it is or why he doesn't like it. Once I told him about my belief in Angels and Demons; He burst out laughing. It really hurt my feelings. I ran off from his house pissed off at him.

I was walking down a lonely alleyway. It was already too dark and there was no sound except of few drunkards laughing hideously. I was a little afraid seeing them that way and that's when they saw me. A few of them signaled at each other as they started walking towards me. I started running from there, very scared for my life. Unfortunately one of them caught my hand and pushed me to the ground. I struggled to get out of his grasp as I shouted for help. The man lost his patience and hit my head with a stone. Everything started to get blurry, that's when someone pushed the man off of me. I couldn't see him but he drove those drunkards away. I tried to see him as hard as could but all I saw was his silhouette; the boy seemed as normal as anyone except one thing; he had sprouted out a pair wings; My angel was real.

I woke the next day at the Hospital. My head was bandaged and my parents were seated beside me. They told me how someone had contacted them to inform them how hurt I was. But they never seem to met that person. Though my parents didn't care for that person, all I could think of was him; My Angel. He had come as my Guardian Angel.

The next day when I discharged from the Hospital Dave and I sat in the nearby park where I told him about my Angel. As always he didn't believe and said I must be hallucinating because of the blow. I didn't bother convincing him as I lay my head on his shoulder slightly exhausted. We stayed there in silence looking at our shadows. His shadow was quite familiar. As I found myself dozing off to sleep I could swear I saw some rustling behind him. As my eyes were to shut I saw them; The wings.
