Sorrow

A poem about the most unwanted emotion in the world - sorrow. Not too sophisticated to understand, it is simple and good(I HOPE SO)

SORROW

Why does sorrow occur?

May I ask?

Like a stupid poker,

That haunts you, with a mask.

 

Folks often notice sorrow

While they ignore a piece of joy.

The eye of joy gets missed by the arrow

And sorrow gets the shot, oh boy!

 

Can you see sorrow approaching?

Well, I can’t see it too

That’s how sorrow’s hand is reaching

Invisible as a windy loo.

I like this. The stanzas flow well together, and it even has a bit of a sing-songy feel to it which makes it ironic that the whole poem is about sorry. Nicely done.
