Actually

Actually

A Poem by Siren

It's kind of like
drowning,
But your lungs don't
burn
And you don't
feel the need to
panic,

So it's more like
floating
But you're actually
flying
because everything is
speeding
past,

But in reality it's like
devouring
Because everything is
slow-motion
And you can take it all
in

But there's so much
sound
And all of these
sights
And you kind of just
stop,

So instead it's like
weariness
But you aren't exactly
tired
Because everything's
exciting,

And you're not
scared
you're not
hurting
you're not
angry

You're more like
okay
you're more
happy
you're more
still.

It's like your in a
cage
But there's no need to
fight
Because you're not
afraid

So it's basically
safe
And you're nearly
home
And you actually
belong.
