Don't You Realize?

Don't You Realize?

A Poem by Siren

I don't know what
to do about
you.

You
frustrate
me.

You love her.
You talk to me
as if I were
someone special.

What do you
want
from me?

I've got nothing
to give someone
like you.

You have everything.
You are everything.

I'm just a broken mess
that doesn't know
how to relate
to anyone.

What do you
want
with me?

I don't want to
take what you
have.

I don't want to
ruin what you've
built.

Don't
you
realize?

You are far more
human
than I could
hope
to ever
be.

if people were direct, then this whole players and games thing would be over and done with. most days, i really think im better off single for life. not many people know what love is anymore. and if they do, they don't know how to give it or take it. but alas, isn't that the dilemma we all face?

if people were direct there would be very little love and much contempt and dissension between the sexes. we have to play the "dating and courting" games to keep it interesting. i don't like it, but there it is, a necessary evil...part of life ...nicely written!
