Precious Space

Precious Space

A Poem by Siren

I had to leave because of

                the people,

                overwhelming people

                overbearing people…

                They were all watching,

and they were all waiting

and they were all mocking

and they were all hating…

                So I fled,

the beloved home, I fled!

that safety, I fled!

that warm security, I fled!

that comfort!

that solace!

                Indeed, I fled!...

                So here in the box,

here with thick walls and sound proofed door--

here my mind screams,

and

                no one knows,

and no one hears

and nothing is shown

and no one sees

and no one cares…

                In this box, at last I rest;

Grounded again to try my best.

Wonderful. You sound like a broken telepath. For everyone else it is what they understand as normal social chemistry. When people can read it but not send it, they want to escape it.
