On a Bumper StickerA Poem by Annabel LeeMy dad saw this bumper sticker the other day on someone's car that said: Jesus hates Gays, Jews, Muslims among other things, so it gave me the idea for this poem on what prejudice can do to a person. I'm Jewish by the way.Killing. Blood all over the street. Chilling in the winter air. Why? Because of a bumper sticker, Its the final nail in her coffin. She can't take it anymore. And what do you do? You don't notice. Even though the agony mixed with deep red blood flows around your ankles, pooling beneath your feet, You have no idea what you're doing. You go on, and leave the bumper sticker up. Leaving the chilling blood in the street. In a solid Fight, The sticker and the girl, A violent face off of the emotional kind. The bumper sticker is the winner. Such is the fragility of our souls. © 2009 Annabel LeeReviews
