Purple and Black Stripes

Purple and Black Stripes

A Poem by Annabel Lee
"

I made this one just writing down random thoughts....

"
I'd like to be able to write
But words elude me.
Music and thoughts blend,
perfect harmony, eternal creation.
The word "die" carved into a desk
Hangs in a picture frame
on the walls of my brain.
Keeping my heart beating,
sunlight through a covered window,
Black bluejays and random thoughts.
A solemn dancer to the rhythm of black and purple stripes,
waltzing room to room.
The yellow bricks of happiness are endlessly covered by graffiti.
You and me and the lemmings,
and the staccatos of the black and purple stripes.
Bony hands in caverns, reaching to the sky.
Silence and love and eighteen measure rests,
Maps that lead to heaven,
And joyrides on the river Styx.
