Sharpie My Silhouette

Sharpie My Silhouette

A Poem by Annabel Lee

I am walking backwards,
I am on my tiptoes
Posing along with stopsigns on my promenade

I am talking backwards,
I am on my trip-toes
Posing with STOP- Hammer time.

Sharpies along my silhouette
All needs can be met
Don't deny me
One more sunset

Teenager with a Nikon
Stare right through me
Old man feeding sparrows
Misconstrue me

I am just one of you
One of the lucky few
Singing some Regina Spektor
Right from my back door

Don't feed the puppet,
Don't feed the puppet,
Ladadadada.
Don't feed the puppet,
Don't feed the puppet,
Ladadadada.

Shashashasha
Shashashasha
Sharpie my silhouette.

Someday the world'll explode and we'll
Lose the trophies
Someday the world'll explode and we'll
Lose the paper bags
Somedays never come
Somedays never come

I'm just one of you
I'm just one of you
